It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by all you “must do” to establish a successful online business. Entrepreneurs are susceptible to burnout and mental fatigue.
When your “self-talk” starts to sound negative, here’s a list of new phrases to change your mood and brighten your day!
- Replace “I have to” — which promotes victim-hood and resentment — with “I choose to.”
- Replace “I must finish” with “When can I start again?” More . . .

You know what they look like, some of the things they can do and can find lots of them.
Beyond that, though, the whole Internet thing is a big unknown. And you can’t imagine finding the time (or maybe even the motivation) to learn all that techie stuff!
Good news – here’s a quick, simple, non-techie overview of what makes up a website.
There are three things you need in order to have a website: a Domain Name, a Host, and the Website itself.

Lavender Threads
http://lavenderthreads.com
I am a self-professed computer geek - fascinated with computers since childhood, and creating websites for clients since the Internet was a toddler - in 1995.
I started Lavender Threads in 1998, focusing on creating websites that my clients could update themselves by building admin pages to make it easy for them to modify their pages.
In 2009 I began actively designing and modifying sites built on the WordPress platform, as it offers a very easy interface for clients to use - that I don't have to build each time.
For those who understand such things, I am proficient with HTML, PHP, CSS, MySQL, MSSQL, ColdFusion, and Javascript. If that doesn't mean anything to you, just skip ahead.
I also have a strong background in marketing, event management and internet technology; and am an artist and certified Life Coach.
I love working with clients who know exactly what they want, and with those who really don't know where to start.
I'm always happy to answer questions about the Web and websites!

Authenticity
Authenticity is being what you seem to be. It means that sharing the truth is preferable to trying to make yourself “look good”; understanding that people use the Internet as an unrivaled tool in their pursuit of the truth. It means collapsing your personal identity and your professional identity into a single, unified way of being. No veils, no varnish.

The Naked Marketing Method
http://www.nakedmm.com
I am a self-starting DREAMer and DOer and a foe of the status quo. I’m alternately an unyielding super woman and pleasure-seeking muse.
Frequently irreverent and prone to colorful language, I’m utterly passionate about being an agent of change and fulfilling my duty to cast light upon the world of shadows.
What I want most is to be known and to know others intimately and for both of us to believe there is something incredibly special, noble and fabulous about each other.
Nurturing others makes me come alive and reminds me how much I need to do the same for me. I am secretly thrilled by my lover’s hands as he plays music or brushes our baby’s golden hair.
I mysteriously attract lost animals and endless piles of unfolded laundry. I complain bitterly about food scraps at the bottom of the sink and about people who don’t do what they say they will.
I’m learning to stop resisting chaos and that how I think things “should be” is an endless, dark illusion I swallowed out of ignorance. I cry often and laugh even more; choosing creativity over certainty and grace over struggle.
I’m drawn to bright, shiny objects including people who reach for awakeness and aliveness… who embody the unequaled power of compassion in action.”
