1. Give your cards to your customers to give away as referrals for you and your
business.
2. Give your cards to others you do business with so they can refer business to
you.
3. Work with companies that have complimentary products and services to
your company and offer a business card exchange where you include their
cards with your marketing materials and ask them to include your card with
their marketing materials.
4. Do a business card exchange with area businesses for cross promotion.
5. Give your cards to family and friends so they can promote you.
6. Leave your cards along with a promotional drawing for a gift or offer from

I Can’t See You!
Just when I thought there was nothing left to say about business cards, I discovered another major point that needs to be made. Make sure your business cards are readable.
I know this point seems obvious, but just today when going through my recent cards to enter their information for follow-up I ended up with a stack of several cards that I can’t read. This is not just my failing eyesight but because the cards are printed on a dark background with dark text or very small white text.

10 Ways to Use Your Card at Networking and Business Functions
1. Give your card to people you meet at networking functions. If they are
potential referral partners give them multiple cards—one to keep and others
to give away.
2. Use your Business Card as your name tag. Either use your actual card in a
business card name tag holder or lanyard or have a magnetic name tag made
using your business card as the template. The name tag should not include
all the contact information and address. It should include your name,
company name and logo.
3. Use your card to register for prizes or information at networking functions or
trade shows.
4. If you are presenting at an event make sure your card is at every seat along
with your marketing materials.
5. At a trade show display make sure your cards are displayed prominently and
are easy to take.
6. If you are hosting an event, make sure the participants exchange cards either
while they are doing introductions or make sure you get a copy and
reproduce them for all the attendees, including your card–first of course.
7. Use your card for door prize given by your company. Write your offer on
the back and give the card to the winner and have them contact you for their
prize.

Business Cards are one of your best Low-Cost Tools for growing your business. Business Cards are great networking tools that are a personal, tangible way of sharing your name, company name, what you do and how to contact you. Cards are low-cost, low-tech and easy to use. They can be your mini-billboard with an average cost of less than a penny each.
Many business owners still have their first box of cards because they don’t want the expense of printing them again. Remember, business cards don’t work if you don’t give them out. Where else can you get out the information about your business in a form that is so easy to keep, so easy to use and reinforces your brand at such a minimal cost? More . . .

It is always important to maximize your marketing and advertising dollars. One of the best marketing strategies to make your dollars go further is Partnered Marketing. Partnered Marketing is nothing more than sharing your marketing and advertising costs with another business. Once you understand who your customer is, what is your product and what other businesses are complimentary to your business, it should be easy to identify potential marketing partners.
