Don’t Be Boring!

If you’re having trouble attracting business, ask yourself if your marketing is attractive, exciting and engaging.  Come on now, be honest. Do you have pizzazz?

Or – if the truth were known – are you boring?

So much of what we see on the Internet and offline, is boring: dull copy-writing on websites, accompanied by cheap-looking graphics. It’s enough to make you cringe.

It’s time to look at your marketing with fresh, appraising eyes. Have you played it safe? Are you presenting a lively image?  Which will attract attention, do you think?

A Summertime Marketing Do-Over

Summertime is a season to kick back and enjoy the sunshine and the great outdoors. It’s a time for vacations, relaxing, and enjoying life.

It’s also the best time for a marketing do-over.

Over the summer months, why not refresh your marketing materials and be ready to launch a vigorous new push for business, in the fall?

Start with the basics:

  • Is your company name and tag line still working for you?
  • Does your logo need to be updated or replaced?
  • Is your website fresh and exciting?
  • Do your print marketing materials co-ordinate with your online brand?
  • Can you develop a new product or offering during the summer, to launch after Labor Day?

You’ve got eight to ten weeks to refresh your look. Take the time to do this over the summer, and you’ll be poised to roll in the fall.

Along the way, enjoy your summer. It’s a great time to play. Have some fun as you unleash new energy into your business, while reveling in the warmth of sunny days and spending time with family and friends.

A Smart Marketing Strategy

A common trap that most people fall into when creating their website is to focus on its appearance and content and forget about the importance of building a list.

Unless you make a concerted effort to capture the names and email addresses of visitors to your website, you have no idea who is stopping by your home page. Without a list, you have no way to build rapport with your prospects and turn them into customers.

It’s OK to take a small imperfect step
